1 Introduction

This guidebook is a rough start to document New Graph Environment’s fish passage restoration planning methods to help build internal and external capacity for restoration using fish passage as an excuse to look at the bigger picture of watershed health. This document is currently not even close to complete, extremely rough and likely contains errors. Please refer to provincial methods for data to be submitted to the province as our workflows are intended to complement these methods vs replace them. We have many online interactive reports that can illustrate how we use this data and they can be found in links at the top right corner of individual repositories that can be found here.

The sections started to date include a bit about field data collection, navigation and using GIS to understand site context but future sections can include more about data management, data analysis, software tools, habitat modelling, reporting, and how to use the data for decision making.
